About the Role
As a software developer at Xebia, you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects to design, build, and maintain applications. Your responsibilities include participating in code reviews, supporting deployments, and developing integrations between systems. You’ll also play a key role in modernizing legacy codebases and mentoring junior developers while troubleshooting technical challenges. Providing third-level support to users will be part of your duties as well.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain applications.

Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and code.

Support release deployments and adhere to development principles.

Work on integrating applications and migrating legacy code to modern standards.

Coach and mentor junior team members.

Resolve technical issues and provide third-level support to users.
Requirements:

Experience across the full software development lifecycle.

Passion for writing clean, efficient, and testable code using design patterns.

Proven experience developing medium to large-scale Perl applications.

Familiarity with modern web-based MVC frameworks like Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst.

Experience with version control tools such as GIT.

Understanding of unit and integration testing practices.

Strong grasp of OOP, MVC, and JSON/XML APIs.

Experience working with relational databases and ORM.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CircleCI or Jenkins.

Proficiency in English (B2+ level).

Must be located in the European Union region and possess a valid work permit.
